The outlines of this table top could make you think of a laurel leaf, and in it laurel stock has been used. It can be recognized by the cubes where there is a large contrast between the heart-wood and the splint-wood. The trunks are too thin to be interesting for the wood trade. Therefore it is hardly ever seen in furniture.
